Tropical Storm Isaias

Good morning,
After a very quiet hurricane season, we find ourselves looking at the Gulf with Tropical Storm Isaias.  We are monitoring the projected path as Governor DeSantis has included Liberty County in the state of emergency order yesterday.  We will be working closely with the Liberty County EOC and the Florida EOC to make timely decisions regarding school closures for the end of the week.  At this time, there are NO closures announced.  As always, I will announce any school closures in a timely manner on ParentSquare and on my personal Facebook page which gets shared to the school Facebook pages.  This will also be shared with our local media (TV and radio).

Please take this time to make sure you are prepared for the storm with all your storm supplies.

I’ll be in touch.

Sincerely,
Kyle Peddie
Liberty County Superintendent of Schools
